Memorial Day Outing To Lake Michigan
When we moved to the Milwaukee area last summer, I was looking forward to being near a large body of water. However, I've yet to go find a beach where I could go hunt for beach glass & cool rocks. On Memorial Day, I made the family pack into the car and go to Doctor's Park in Fox Point, WI in northern Milwaukee County. Here is a pic of the kids and me.
Although I didn't spend enough time there to find any glass, I did find some cool stones. This one actually was like a cabochon. . . it was perfectly rounded, and flat on the back. Great shape for setting in silver! The pendant itself is fairly large and measures about 1 1/4 inches in diameter. To see more pics of this, go check out the listing in my Etsy shop.
